I'm not sure I understand your response. Are you saying that we only had an even split by gender of conservatives and liberals for 20 years? I don't think the facts actually bear that out. Can you clarify? See the chart below for more on that.
Men are becoming increasingly conservative because they don't like that they are no longer the defacto citizen (as was the case both by law and custom) up until about 50 years ago. The manosphere is not just misogynistic, it's also wildly racist - for the same reasons. White men are up in arms about their loss of unearned privilege — to the point where they are ready to storm the Capitol over it. The only thing I can see about it that signals hope is that equality has come far enough that it flushes these types out of the woodwork.
