I'm taking a big deep breath before responding, because I'm so fucking tired of this weak and pitiful kind of questioning. You are not separate from your culture; you are not separate from your gender indoctrination; you are not a "good guy" who is totally different from the "bad guys" who do bad things. Even if you resist it to some extent, you have been deeply influenced by patriarchy and misogynistic beliefs that you are fed every day by your friends, in the media, and even sometimes by women themselves. And if you are not actively challenging the problematic culture, you are absolutely in collusion with it. Stop blaming women and do your part to shift the harmful norms of masculinity that hurt you and me and everyone else. Otherwise, you are just another part of the problem. Masculinity as it is currently defined in this culture is the root cause of violence and rape and bullying and discrimination and just about any other social problem you can name. Unless you are participating in redefining what masculinity means, you are just another asshole clinging to his privilege and blaming other people for being angry about that. Don't be that guy. Instead be one of the ones who is helping to shift the culture for the better - for men and for everyone else. Be fragile or be strong and impactful. the choice is yours.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
