I'm to the point where if a man is talking about all the good work he's doing in the world or referring to himself as a feminist, I immediately become suspicious. There are good guys out there doing important things and being good allies, but they don't seem to be the ones who are trumpeting it. I finally realized that anytime a man is trying to sell you on what a good lover, businessman, parent, member of society, etc., that they are, the less likely it is to be true.

You are absolutely right that this man's statements over the years are full of red flags.
