Indeed - you are right on the nose about both the issues of climate crisis and resource depletion coming out of that Might Makes Right dominance hierarchy mindset, as well as the fact that most men have no idea whatsoever that patriarchy means anything but a dynamic between men and women. That's one of the reasons that I write about it as I do, to try to bring greater understanding. Many people have recommended that I not use the term patriarchy because it invokes knee-jerk reactions, but if we don't recognize how it's an entire dominance hierarchy system that is about way, way more than just gender, I don't think we stand a chance in challenging all the negative impacts that come from it (including those that men face).
