Is he suggesting that prior to Confucionism there were no social classes or wealth disparity and that men and women had the same kinds of social and economic power? At its core, patriarchy is a dominance hierarchy system. I think he’s using a different meaning of that word that relates more exclusively to the relationship between men and women. But, I’d still be interested to hear/learn more about this theory if there is ever an opportunity.
