It can be very beautiful when all of the participants are doing their own emotional work and upholding the precepts of polyamory, which is not a given. But, that being said, I know of many people who are happily polyamorous. You might want to check out the Medium publication, Polyamory Today for more.

There are also several good books about polyamory out there. The most famous is perhaps, The Ethical Slut, but James and I read Opening Up: A Guide To Open Relationships when we first started our journey. Polyamory is becoming more widespread and more socially acceptable, although it’s still not widely accepted or pervasive.
