It does make me wonder if marriage as an institution will eventually, if not go by the wayside, at least decrease so significantly that it is a minority construct. Lots of younger women (and men) are still buying into the social norm that expects marriage for almost everyone, but how long before these other aspects override that? I don't think men will truly "get the memo" until it does.
