It is not a "civil" question or a respectful thing to assert that most women are not real people with any actual self just because the majority of them have experience with sexual violence. It's rank misogyny masquerading as concern for women and it's one of THE most disgusting things I've ever heard a man say in my past 5 years on Medium - which is saying a whole lot.

And while you're busy being concerned about women's trauma and such, why are you advocating for gangs of people to beat up the woman who slept with 100 men? If she has no self because of what has undoubtedly happened to her, where is your goddam compassion???

You don't have to approve of what that women did, but since it's not harming you - or anyone else - advocating for violence against her is completely despicable and disgusting.

I'm pretty tolerant of other people's positions in general, but when they are both dehumanizing and seek to control women for your own purposes, that's where my tolerance ends.
