It sparked a story idea for me about how the freedom that feminism espouses includes the freedom to make our own choices in everything. For example, I stopped wearing make-up for a while because none of my friends did and I thought that was more "progressive" somehow, but then I went back to it because that's what I wanted - not what I was "supposed" to do. Telling women they shouldn't wear makeup is just as oppressive as telling them that they should.

Is it OK if I reference you and this piece in my story? I think it's another great example of this freedom to do what works for you.
