It's a nice sentiment that I largely agree with, but pretending like men and women are treated much the same in this culture is tying to put icing over mud in oder to create harmony. We have to deal with the legacy of patriarchal dominance hierarchy dynamics and the ways they still harm women (and men) today in order to actually get a place where a better culture is possible.
