It's maddening when science debunks something but it persists in the cultural narrative for another 6 or 7 decades. I've been wanting to write something about the way that patriarchal lenses have skewed and warped our scientific understanding but it's going to be a really research and labor intensive story so I'm not there yet. But, this is a really great example of just that very thing. Thanks.
