It's not societal norms that drive violence, or that drive men to suicide - it's masculine norms. Until you and the other men who haven't yet grappled with that come to terms with it, nothing is going to improve. And why are you so hep to defend norms that you may not even believe in?

Demonstrably, women cannot impact masculine norms except in tangential ways. Is that really so hard to understand? It's a fucking patriarchy. Men are not going to be the out-group any time soon. 🙄

If asking men to become leaders in creating a new and healthier culture makes them feel threatened, I don't know how anyone imagines things can ever improve. You can't fix a problem that you aren't allowed to name - because somebody finally had the nerve to point out that the emperor has no clothes — apparently not even a problem that would demonstrably improve men's health and happiness.

As I noted in the OP, we're not going backward, so men better learn how to adapt... or go extinct. If you'd rather be fragile than improve your own lives, that's exactly what is going to happen. Maybe not right away, but eventually…

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
