It’s not the Y chromosome it’s patriarchy - which is a social system. As already noted, most Native American cultures are not remotely like this - there is a balance and women have a lot of power and independence. For the Ming of Indonesia women inherit family houses and husbands move in with them after marriage. Patriarchy is widespread but not universal and certainly only a few thousand years old.

What do men get if they move away from that? The chance to be full human beings who don’t suffer the physical, emotional, and mental consequences of being forced into the “Man Box” all of which are well documented. It’s still a “sell” but more and more young men (and others) are moving in this direction.
