It's one of my beefs with this culture, that the only two apparent choices are moving towards marriage or a hook-up where you act like you don't even like each other. Meanwhile, I know from poly life that it is quite possible to have loving, connected sex with someone that you aren't hoping to marry.

I do adore when James cooks for me and he absolutely does it as an expression of love. I cherish that.
