It's one of the leading causes of poverty for women. I think you're right that the podcast dudes and some others are just furious that they can no longer control women in the way that used to be commonplace in this culture. They are trying to get rid of "no fault" divorce and in some states you can't file if you are currently pregnant - even if the man is abusive.
