I’ve already done that. My original comment was about the fallacies of your thesis, and I simply gave specific examples of why it was fallacious, some of which applied to you, but which apply more broadly as well to this topic.

Some “opinions” are so offensive that expecting them to be received with a cool head and politeness is not only delusional, but inappropriate. I can think of dozens of examples of this which I’d wager you’d would also agree are too offensive to be freely expressed without pushback.

And then I pointed out to you some of the many, many times that you have failed to receive someone else’s “opinions” with a cool head and politeness; where you’ve taken them as a personal attack on you, even though it wasn’t about you as an individual at all. And this further speaks to the problems with the thesis of your story.

The fact that you don’t like being called on your inconsistencies doesn’t make it an attack or a personal insult. It means you don’t like being confronted with the realities. I haven’t said you are a terrible human being. In fact, I’ve consistently said the opposite of that. I’ve also given you clear and specific examples of where your words and ideas are in conflict with each other (the polar opposite of an ad hominum attack).

If I wrote something as poorly thought out as this where I had publicly consistently failed to do what I was advocating, I would expect to have that pointed out to me, particularly by a friend because I expect my friends to tell me the truth.

But since you’ve made it clear that’s not what you want, I won’t darken your doorstep any longer. I won’t “mess up” your stories with my comments. In fact, I won’t even read them. I’ll leave you to your “opinions” although I’m sure that from time to time others will point out how inappropriate they sometimes are. Will you take that with the cool head of The Dude? Based on past responses, I’m going to say probably not, but who knows what the future might bring?
