I've been with the same man for nearly 35 years, most of those married. We like and love each other like crazy, but it's taken a huge amount of ongoing work to keep our relationship healthy and vibrant - and that's as it should be - because it's worth it.

Being single is also a viable option. It's certainly better than being with the wrong person.
