I've had both dogs and cats for most of my life, and more than a few cats who acted a lot like dogs. Several liked to go along when we'd walk the dog. Naturally, they didn't want a leash, but still enjoyed going for a trot around the block with the family. We had one cat who liked to play fetch. We'd throw a ball for him and he'd run and get it and bring it back. My cat Peaches that I have now is super friendly and demanding of attention the way many dogs are. She's very social and wants to meet all the people who come to the house. She got to ride on an airplane once and thought it was great - except for landing, which she didn't care for. Otherwise it was a perfect opportunity to see new things, smell new smells, and meet new friends. She's a character!
