Looking back, I can see that I was always inclined to be poly, I just didn't really know what that was or that it was truly an option. Everything around me - all examples, cultural messages, and peer pressure all presented monogamy as the only possibility. I'm happy with where I am now, but I can't help but wonder how my life might have been different if I'd been able to follow my heart and my natural inclinations a lot earlier in life.
