😸 love it!

I've come to realize this - that if someone is not self-aware enough to see where their biases are creating blind spots, and if they can't adapt with new information, then there is no possibility of actual productive discourse. I can spend hours presenting them with data and quotes from experts, etc., and they still won't budge because they aren't even operating out of their cognitive places, they are being run by their subconscious and I can't impact that. Better to go do something else with my time. If somebody has a different interpretation of the facts that makes some kind of sense, that's one thing, but when there's nothing but false equivalencies, etc., there is no point.
