Make-up has been worn since the time of the ancient Egyptians. Both women and men wore it then. As you pointed out, some men still do wear it. Kim Kardashian has actually somewhat revived corsets, but as you noted, not everything is for the male gaze. Women wear and do lots of things because it pleases them. In addition, there is no law that says women (or anyone) must dress in the most "close to nature" way possible. Guys who openly say that all men are stupid are well, pretty stupid.
