Maybe it’s because I’m not sure of the true difference between voting with your wallet (or your budget in the case of big Cos.) and cancel culture, which has kind of a mob mentality to it. What’s the difference between justifiably moving away from someone who has shown socially unacceptable behavior and canceling someone the mob has deemed out of line? I think to some extent, it’s in the eye of the beholder.
