Mercifully, this is not so. Only for the past 6-9 thousand years. Prior to that time, men and women lived in balance and egalitariansim and women were revered as judges, priestesses, mothers, and equal providers of food and wisdom. Where we are now is an abberation - a byproduct of patriarchy. It doesn't have to be this way.
