Most violence against women is about control - from men on the street who want to force you to acknowledge their appraisal of your body to intimate partners who want control in some way. And the whole thing about women getting spit on, beers poured on them, and even killed for saying no to a man's interest in them is something men don't experience. Fully half the women in America who are murdered are killed by current or former intimate partners. It's only about 4% for women killing men. Someone who refuses to recognize that has a screw loose.
