My husband and I went to a top-less optional resort in Mexico a few years ago and then visited their sister property which was clothing optional. It was higher end so everyone there was in their late 30s to late 60s. Needless to say, there were all body types on display and nobody cared one bit. It was very freeing and as you pointed out, because that takes a certain amount of vulnerability to do, people were not hung up on status or posturing. Everyone was friendly and nice and we had the best time. We were planning to go back before the pandemic hit because we enjoyed it so much.

Being naked in front of your neighbors doesn't sound fun when you put it like that, but if you reframe it to being a community where everyone is naked, that's a different vibe (at least to me). Great story!
