My initial title for this piece was something like "If You're Worried About Being Seen as Creepy, It's a Function of Your Creepiness."

He's absolutely correct. Most guys complaining about being taken for creeps are behaving in creepy, predatory, and entitled ways and are looking for a way to make women wrong for not standing for that. They don't like the feeling of being them, and are looking for a way to feel better about themselves by "scoring." Our culture has failed young people in a lot of ways.
