My son when to an arts based elementary school where they spent very little time sitting at desks. They learned to dance the life of a sunflower and to create geometric shapes with clay, etc. It was a very active, fun, and engaging learning experience. Also, teachers didn't solve issues between students, they held class meetings and the the entire class mentored the kids with a problem through figuring out solutions and how to do better in the future with the facilitation of the teacher.
