My take on all of this is that binary existence is not the only game in town. There’s a lot out there that is non-binary and intersex. And I’m not claiming to have all of the answers about how to deal with that, but continuing to cling to a binary world and punishing those who don’t fit into that is not something that I support.

In my opinion, a binary, Black/White view of life is a large source of our problems as humans. We are nuanced and grey — and that’s a beautiful thing. We should find a way to embrace that.
