No, I don't think that alone is an automatic disqualifier. My assessment that he wasn't truly poly was based more on the way her treated her in general, but you are right that trying to draw a hard and fast line is difficult to do because there are so many highly individual factors. This was just my personal assessment - someone else might well have a different one.
