No, it's actually not, and in fact, that is disrespectful to people with actual mental illness who overwhelmingly are not violent. It's a radicalized movement, not unlike any other type of terrorism, where fairly normal men with questions and insecurities are intentionally recruited into a violent and misogynistic community and then have their way of thinking warped and corrupted.
