No they don't - what a bunch of gender essentialist hogwash. I've been with my man for over 35 years and although we are different individuals, we're mostly a lot alike - a big part of why we've lasted so long. There is no evidence at all that gender hierarchy is good for relationships - and there's tons of evidence from around the world that greater equality makes everyone a lot happier.
