No, we shouldn't be reinforcing that, but it's what patriarchy is - a dominance based hierarchy. Until we can get more men on board with trying to dismantle that form of social system (rather than merely complaining about the ways it hurts them but otherwise justifying it) we're going to be stuck with a lot of the same problems.
