Not all hierarchies are dominance hierarchies, but one of the fundamental attributes of a dominance hierarchy is a zero-sum outlook. I say that because that’s what I have learned from the experts who study this. And I already quite clearly noted that we can’t live like small H/G bands in every respect, but there are still things that we can learn from them related to valuing the well-being of the group and believing that everyone has value.
