Not wanting to talk about sex comes from the dual prongs of patriarchy - for men, they are supposed to be "in control" and "doing things to a woman" rather than with a woman. Women are supposed to be too ladylike to enjoy sex, or to heaven forbid - talk about their own desires. It's an antiquated and kind of toxic dynamic all around. Good questions.
