Oddly, the only semi-public place where I haven't experienced those feelings is being half-naked in a swinger's club. There was no predation, no belief that I was "offering" anything, no expectation that I was available for sampling because I was out in public or didn't have much on, no entitlement or creepy behavior. There were bouncers there to enforce that, but I never saw them employed. Men just don't act like that there, because it's made clear to them that is not acceptable and they act accordingly. I don't think it even occurs to most of them, unless they are truly newbies. What kind of culture might we have if that ethos was extended to the world at large? How much safer and wholer might most women feel?

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
