Oh, give me a break! Women face all kinds of challenges as well and nobody is cutting them any slack. If you had shitty parents, you still have the obligation as an adult to figure it out, do what you need to do in order to heal yourself and to move on without blaming it all on them when your'e 30. The same holds true of men. Sure, patriarchy fucks them up too - and that's no excuse. Women have been fighting against societal norms and strictures for thousands of years and suffering the consequences of doing that. It's time for more men to do the same. Of course it's hard for men to live outside of cultural norms but women have been doing that for forever. Join the club.

That being said, I get that transwomen are subjected to a lot of violence and judgment that other people aren't. But cis-men don't have that same experience in that same way. Cis-men need to shift the norms of mainstream masculinity and stop blaming women for not being happy with being on the receiving end of patriarchal bullshit - because it hurts them too.
