Oh, men can still continue to make it plenty hard for women and I don't doubt that many will continue to do so, but the problem is, we've been dealing with that shit for thousands of years already, clawing our way slowly toward better lives, and we don't really care how bruised or bloody you make us, we're going to keep going. Don't underestimate the perseverance of the slave hungering for freedom.

I completely agree that more women need to become comfortable with men showing their feelings and being more vulnerable, but as far as I can see, that's the main aspect of patriarchy that women uphold. The rest is drips and drabs - except for the hardcore conservative women, and that's not who were talking about here.
