OK, not totally disagreeing (for once 😉) but there are more women than men in the world. How exactly are women a scarce resource? Is it because most women won’t have sex with just anyone? But even so, all kinds of skeevy guys who really don’t have much to offer get laid. I’m not sure I’m buying this scarce resource gambit.

Even in the 1950s when premarital sex was actively frowned upon and women were called even more names then they are now for being sexually active, there was still plenty of sex going on. The teen-pregnancy rate far exceeded what it does now, and although some of that is due to better access to birth control, and some of it is due to women having a better understanding of why they might want to wait (or at least take it slow) for other reasons, there really hasn’t been an actual shortage of sex in the past 100 years. So, tell me more about this short supply angle.
