OMG yes! I had a guy accuse me of "cancelling" him the other day when after a short, and unproductive discussion, I told him that I didn't see the conversation going anywhere and that I wasn't going to engage in it further. The amount of entitlement it takes to believe that I somehow owed him my time and attention is staggering, but hardly rare. I'm using the mute and block button a lot more liberally than I used to because some people will just not stop.

I am fine with a difference of opinion if the person can present their case logically, and with supports. Sometimes I even learn something, but when it's just ranting, "I just know" kinds of useless rhetoric primarily meant to shut me down and to not actually engage, then no. I don't have to allow that into my space and neither does anyone else. Good for you!
