Of course people are responsible for their actions even if they are 18 or younger, but until this very moment I haven’t heard you say that about even considering the dynamics of the social environment all this is taking place in. You’ve just been going on and on about missing female agency. Self responsibility is important but also exists within the context of the larger scheme of things which may include the ages of the people involved as well as other factors such as the actions of the other people as well as things like power dynamics, prevalent socialization, and the potential real repercussions for doing what you “ought to do.”

In other words, it’s not as black and white as you’ve been presenting it.
