When my husband and I opened up our relationships we did away with all the taboos and talked a lot about who we found attractive and who we fantasized about - way before we ever got together with anyone else. Monogamous couples should absolutely do this even if they never plan to be with anyone else. Have real trust, have real transparency, have each other's backs as human beings and stop with this patriarchal BS that you're a terrible person if you find someone else attractive even if you never act on it.
