Patriarchy is a social system, it's not a synonym for men. As a social scientist who has studied this subject area for over 15 years, I stand by all of my assertions. Those things do not take place in matrillineal (there are no matriarchal) cultures or in egalitarian ones - because those types of societies are not dominance hierarchies.
