Patriarchy is an entire dominance hierarchy system that happens to be male led, but that means so much more than that - it is a system that harms men as well. The problem is, it aligns very well with other things. bell hooks speaks of it as white supremacist, capitalist, patriarchy because all of these are domination-oriented systems that are deeply interwoven. So, will it be easy to move toward a different kind of system. No indeed, but the Nordic countries, and Denmark in particular, have made some good inroads toward a more partnership-oriented culture, so I think there is some hope.
