Patriarchy is essentially a dominance hierarchy system and we've all been born into it. Most women are scratching for their position in the social hierarchy just like men are, and white women, in particular, are closer to the apex of that pyramid if they can align their fortunes with white men, chances are they probably will because they want the boost in "rank" that it offers.

We need to move toward a more partnership-oriented social system where there isn't so much "ranking" based on immutable traits.
