Perhaps, but most men have been socialized to repress any difficult emotion that isn’t anger. Not being able to access your feelings does mean that you don’t actually know how you are feeling, except on the most superficial level, and some have no idea at all. All fear, all sadness, all worry — those only get expressed as anger.

I’m not saying that men need to become women, but if you don’t know how to work with your emotions, they are running you from behind the scenes. This is the case with a lot of men, in my experience. They invent intellectual sounding frameworks to justify things, but meanwhile, it’s all just emotions. That’s one of the reasons that there are so many more hysterical men on the internet than there are women.
