Perhaps this is a demographic thing rather than an across-the-board thing? Older wealthier men using their wealth to date women who are much younger than they are seem likely to attract a particular kind of woman who is interested in that sort of arrangement. There is a lot more likely to be a transactional element, it would seem to me - one that might create a different dynamic than in regular dating relationships.
