Pick me girls always hate themselves - that's why they are so desperate to pander to men's approval with this sort of drivel. And your entire essay is nothing but comparing and contrasting men's and women's oppression - you just don't like all the glaring examples that disprove your theory. It's not "feminist rhetoric" that women have been systemically oppressed by men - it's undeniable verifiable history. It's sociology, and it's still going on today in many ways - including rape culture and the authority gap as well as the motherhood penalty, to name just a few. That is not incompatible with acknowledging things that are also problematic for men in this culture. After all, patriarchy harms everyone, albeit in slightly different ways.

Of course, many men have supported women's rights, and done many other wonderful things, but that doesn't mean that it erases the systemic oppression of women in this culture. If you said, "Black rights wouldn't be where they are today without white people" and used that as a way to erase that racism exists, it would make about as little sense.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
