Rape culture exists not only because of the 25-35% of men who do the things, but because of the rest of them who turn a blind eye to that and allow it to take place often right in front of them. Masculinity is a small box of acceptability and you don't want to risk getting pushed outside it for going against the bro-code - even if that means watching women be groped, or disrespected, or abused right in front of you.

Nothing wrong with men or maleness, but the sort of patriarchal masculinity that is pushed in this culture is absolutely harmful - to women and to men as well.
