Sex is definitely a basic human need, which is a part of why we respond to it so reliably, but what the line is between sordid oversexualization and healthy sexuality being expressed is not so cut and dried. I've definitely seen examples of what I'd consider sexual objectification for money but also plenty of examples of someone simply expressing their sexual side in a way that involves exchange of money.
For me, the money element is not the deciding factor, but historically, in our culture, it has been. Women who use their sexuality for anything other than the pleasure and enjoyment of their one man are seen to be acting inappropriately by patriarchal standards.
