Show me a man who is completely untouched and unaffected by mainstream masculine norms. Even men who are doing the work of challenging and remaking this culture admit that this programming is in their subconscious minds and even they are sometimes blind to it. You aren't just an individual - in fact, I'd argue that most people are not really individuals at all - you are the product of your socialization and gender indoctrination even if you don't have awareness of that — just like we all are.
If you're not working to change the culture, you are enabling it to continue as it is - something that benefits men even if they aren't consciously aware of that and/or don't want that. You’re not necessarily “guilty” but you are responsible as a man for no longer enabling the current social system.
